Rosanna Sandri Langhe Arneis 'Stella Dorata' 2023

Rosanna Sandri is a small family run winery located in Treiso in the heart of Barbaresco.

Here, the family annually produces approx. 15,000 bottles of wine on the 6 hectares they own. For more than 70 years, the family has cultivated the fields without any kind of pesticides or herbicides and with the greatest respect for nature. Only naturally occurring yeast is used, they make their own fertilizer and no additives are used in the cellar.

Vinification: The most important thing about Arneis is to be able to keep the acidity balanced in relation to the sugar content. The grapes are therefore harvested in small baskets, which are stored overnight at 0-2 degrees before being pressed. The rest also takes place at low temperatures to retain the aromas.

Arneis is unknown to many, and we think it can best be described as a mix of Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner. A lovely acidity, citrus fruits and minerality from the Chardonnay, mixed with the structure, some green and a slight bitterness from the Grüner.

The name "Stella Dorata" comes from the variety of rose that grows in the specific field where the grapes for this wine are grown.
