Preserved in excellent conditions, in a wine cellar and authenticated by an auctioneer,
Originating from one of the top five classified growths of the Médoc according to the official 1855 classification, this wine comes from an estate renowned for its elegance and aging potential. Located in the Margaux appellation, the château traditionally produces a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Merlot, Petit Verdot, and sometimes Cabernet Franc. The 1980 vintage in Bordeaux was marked by rather difficult weather conditions, resulting in less powerful and more discreet wines, with a delicate structure and subdued fruitiness. Despite the vintage context, the château's consistency ensures a refined expression, focused on finesse and aromatic complexity, with notes of leather, tobacco, and persistent floral nuances. The wine already displays a pronounced evolution, making it more suitable for lovers of mature and nuanced styles.
