Spanna Vallana 1955

Fabulous bottle of Spanna Antonio Vallana 1955 in excellent condition in all respects Estate History: 100 miles northeast of the Langhe, in the hamlet of Maggiora, the Vallana estate quietly produced wines that rivaled the Barolos of Giacomo Conterno and Bartolo Mascarello. They quickly became popular with more experienced wine collectors and were sought after throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Antonio Vallana's son, Bernardo, has created some of the longest-lived, elegant and ethereal wines in the appellations of Spanna, Gattinara and Boca.
